Rocking the Shades in SoCAL - Seven
After the golf course, we rendezvoused back to Anna's house, and as Mac and Fling went back to pick up Marge, the rest of us nervously entered Anna's house to sit and wait. Her parents were in the middle of dinner so we all quietly sat in the family room watching tv. The tv was set to some Thai news channel but no one said anything as we just sat there looking at her nice family portraits and stuff. At one moment, since I was sitting right by the kitchen... uhh I heard her dad behind me putting away the dishes or something and then I heard what sounded like someone behind me 'ripping' one. Maybe it was just a squeaky chair but... yea.
Anyways, Anna then came over and realized we were watching Thai news and graciously tried to change the channel but of course it was to no avail and finally had to get her brother to come out (from playing WC3) to open the bottom cabinet to reveal the satellite and then change the channel haha. Soon, Felix, Mac, and Marge show up, and we sit around shooting the breeze some more, with Marge asking some questions about keeping surnames or something. We head off to a K-BBQ place called Picnic Garden BBQ Buffet. Upon entry, there must've only been 25 people in the entire restaurant, but basically it's like a hot pot style place but with personal grills and of course korean items, such as bul go gee and kal bee. We get seated and Mac and I strategically seat ourselves in the middle of both tables, but unbeknownst at the time, I definitely scored sitting on the side with Marge, the best cook. The other side had fries. HAHA.
Marge announced that she had taken food preparation courses, another +5 right there! The waitress came over asking if any of us were korean, looked around and pointed me out declaring me a korean due to my hair or something. Then she pointed at Pres and announced him to be chinese. She even pointed at Anna and asked if she was mixed. Must've been a slow night for them to have so much fun with us. I had an OB Lager to help sponser Ahn Jung Hwan. Marge was getting a huge kick out of grilling octopi and watching them curl up and sizzle on the grill. As dessert time rolled around, most of us went to get some jello and soft serve they had, but unfortunately the sutoberi pai flavored soft serve was not in effect. We took a group picture outside of the restaurant, with Mac tricking me into doing a Minimoni pose but he did not join in.
