Sunday afternoon
we all woke up around 11 am or so, as Ines, Tami, and Chen prepared and headed off to the Beach. We watched some Olympics for a bit before everyone gathered up and we headed downstairs for lunch at this mexican place in the shopping area between Mandalay and Luxor. The drink theme for lunch seemed to be bloody mary's, as Frank and Tim had quite a few. The restaurant was in a good locale, huge glass walls right next to the Beach, so we saw a lot of attractive and a lot of unattractive people walk by.

After lunch, we walked through the casino, and Olivia and Amanda went to play some craps. I decided I wasn't quite ready at the moment yet, so I watched a little bit to see if my reading would account for anything. Standing next to Olivia, was this maybe late 40's year old distinguished businessman, wearing a nice suit, a watch FULL of blinging diamonds and a fat ring. He had a row of 1k chips in front of him and was filling the board with 1k chips left and right. He hadn't been doing too well, and right before Olivia started rolling, he said to the pit boss "give me 25k" and there was no hesitation as the pit boss handed it right over. wow. Olivia went on a hot streak and made the guy some 45k at least! In appreciation, the gentleman gave Olivia a black chip ($100). Now Olivia started feeling bad cause of course, to us peons, a black chip is significant, and she didn't really want to accept it. Steve, Amanda, and I had to convince her that to him, that chip was like maybe $1 haha, and since she just made him some $45k ... it was well deserved. The gentleman noticed her uncomfortableness and said earnestly "don't worry, i have a wife and kids and a dog". HAHA. that was classic.

After the girls got disinterested in craps since I think they were down a little bit, we walked around and decided to find a nice $10 blackjack table to play. We sat towards the end of a chute, and I dropped $100 real fast ahha. When the weirdo next to Amanda left before the next chute began (I saw him giving her the up-down look... gross cause he was a dirty looking guy), I sat next to her, which is when the fun began. I made up my -$100 real fast and went up another $150... before I proceeded to lose all that and lost another $300 trying to catch up again ahha. I was experimenting with random betting and at one point Olivia had dropped $60 and didn't want to use her black chip, so I would play $10 in her spot as often as I could so she could sit there without the dealer potentially hassling us. The money didn't matter cause it was so much fun when we were all gambling together. Olivia and Amanda had to leave around the same time, so we went back upstairs to get their luggage and stuff. Oh yea, before we did that tho, we walked by a roulette table, and Amanda threw down like $60 or something on black. it hit red. doh! I put $10 on red for the next time and it hit red haha. Nice. I bought Olivia's black chip off her so she didn't have to waste time going to the cage.

Let's see, I think I went to play craps next, as I was now confident with my 2 hours of knowledge haha. According to the book, I wanted to find a $5 table (since I allotted about $500 for craps just in case), and my session should cost about $167 roughly. Jerry, Steve, and Tim all played along with me at various times. I refused to roll the dice my first 4 or 5 times, as I wasn't comfortable yet. I made a few betting mistakes along the way, and eventually found myself down about $200 before I felt comfortable and had the strategy down. I rationalized that I had lost money previously cause previous rollers hadn't hit numbers after I established my 3 points, they would just crap out and I'd lose like my $35 or so. boo! Fortunately, I bought in for $100 more, and this was when the fun started. The gentleman before me would do this funny thing where he would set the dice to 5 5 every time before he rolled. It seemed to work, as he started rolling tons of numbers. All my come bets were hitting, and before I knew it, he must've rolled 12 times before he crapped out and I had won about $175. sweet! I rolled next, and I started hitting tons of numbers as well, and altho I only hit the pass number twice, I hit all my come bets multiple times. If other players had been playing come bets, they would also have raked in hella bucks. By the time I crapped out, I had won myself another $150 or so. TIGHT. Jerry and Steve were like "darn, I should've stuck around" as they both lost a bill or so. One funny moment was when Tim was rolling well, and Ines came by and said "oh you haven't crapped out in a long time" and then BAM 7. hahah. I left the table up about $35 (after like an hour or so) and very content that my 2 hours of reading had paid off nicely.

Steve and April looked bored sitting by the slots watching, so we went to find a blackjack table, as we had about an hour to kill before dinner. Steve had no luck and dropped $100 real fast as did April. When I say real fast, I mean REAL fast, like 12 or 14 hands for April and even fewer for Steve cause he was doing some odd bet variations that Stanley Wong would disapprove of haha. I went on a good streak and went up like $200 real fast. Fun part was, unlike previous trips, I was just goofing around, so I was only betting $10 hands all the time. Anyways, right as dinner approached, I went down a bit and fought back in the last minute to leave $100+ up. sweet.
