Monday morning
4 am. Mandalay only had 1 or 2 tables and they were full or something, so I walked over to Luxor instead. After doing a lap and seeing mostly $25's, I finally came across a rowdy $10 table. The people were fun, including a drunk Aussie, a smaller motorcycle enthusiast with a goatee and tons of tattoos, and this quiet filipino kid that seemed to keep grabbing $100 chips out of his pocket. They called him "squirrel" haha. Eventually the Aussie guy busted out, went back upstairs, came back with another $100, busted out again, and got kicked off the table for being too loud. Bike guy's gf came over after a while, and it was the super hot chick in the low-cut v-neck top with big fake guns that Steve and I had seen at Mandalay. she didn't sound very smart, which was expected, but apparently she had just won a couple grand on the Wheel of Fortune thing. Along the way, another guy with an accent who was being a host to this Columbian girl sat down. I think the rest of their buddies were on the other table. I went wild this session, doing nothing but $10 bets, drinking a couple beers, having a couple coffees, and a few sodas. At one point, I was up to $550, with these mounds of $10 chips in front of me. The pit boss kept staring at me, wondering if I was counting cards or something, but my bet never varied the entire time. The best session was going 1 on 1 with the dealer when the table would empty, and I would rake in hella hands. going up 55 bets (as philip would tell me later) not too shabby. At one point, this guy watched me for a while, and sat down next to me and bought in for $500 and proceeded to follow my play and won $10000 in like 10 hands and then got up and left. damn. There was also a bit of controversy, as these two old viet guys sat down, and played $5 hands. They barely could speak english, and the dealer asked if they wanted insurance, and one guy kept saying 'what what?" and eventually nodded and said "yes". Dealer had to tell him to put out money to cover his insurance bet but the guy didn't understand. Eventually he put out money, dealer didn't have the 21, so he took the insurance bet. On top of that, the viet man lost the hand too, busting out, so he lost his bet too. Now's when the howling began. In broken partial english, he started to yell, along with his buddy and said "not fair!" or something. I dunno what went on, but eventually the pit boss came over and listened in, and gave him the rule sheet and said "those are the rules". The viet guy eventually just said "not fair", they lost their $20 and they left the table. thank goodness. not only were they rowdy but they smoked some cheap cigs that smelled really bad. At one point around 8 am, we had a full table going again, and one of the same dealers (on his 6th shift back on my table or so) made a comment like I had been there a while, so I replied "yea, i'm staying up cause I don't want to oversleep my flight".. upon which another lady at the table asked "when is your flight", and i answered "3 pm", hehe, which drew a round of laughter around the table. I totally lost track of time, and I looked down and saw it was 10:15 am... and I couldn't remember if our check out was 11 am or 10 am! doh! On my way out, I decided to throw another $10 on red for roulette.. and won it haha.
