Rocking the Shades in SoCAL - Five

Friday, July 5th, 2002

I basically awoke at around 9 am to the impression that someone was snapping pics. well I must say I got a wonderful few hours of z's on the comfy couch. I grabbed a quick shower, busted on my authentic Hawaiian shirt, and played some Crazy 8 with Mac as we killed time waiting for everyone else to wake up. I guess Marge was already awake at this point too but I didn't know that. Anyways, at 10 am, everyone else got up and is getting ready. Mac, Pres, and George are playing some Big 2 and next thing I know, George is shoving a Pineapple Bun (bao low bao) completely into his mouth and it seriously looks like he's about to choke on it... but fortunately he only has to suffer through a picture and then he's able to spit it out heh. Felix is busy fielding calls left and right (with countless girls of course), and next thing I know, we're headed off to the post office where Marge can pick up their few months worth of mail that the post office had been collecting for them.

Upon arriving at the post office, I see this wonderful chick in what looks like a Superman baby-t.. Felix takes a pic for me. A stray shopping cart becomes the next subject of dares... as I challenge Mac to jump it and he actually believes he can do it. I tried to show him how I think he would prolly kill himself if he tried and another embarrassing picture is taken. After a 10 minute discussion, Mac determines that he will not try the real thing (tho he did jump ALONGSIDE it but I do not believe he cleared it, but it was a good attempt). Anyways, we dawdle on over to the post office, where Marge comes out bearing a huge bundle, at least a foot and a half tall of old mail and magazines. hahah. A picture of Mac is taken when he is caught checking out Marge's butt.. oops. As we're walking back, this tall gorgeous gal passes us and Felix suggests that I should ask her to stop and take a pic with me. However she looked like she was trying to get somewhere in a hurry so I didn't take up the offer.

Lunch time approaches and Marge suggests "Good Time Deli".. which actually was Nice Time Deli. I had called up my sister and she said she would come out and meet us for lunch. As we get there, we meet up with Anna, her cousin Panda, and this other chick named Darryl. Nice Time Deli is this small asian cafe with some dim sum dishes and regular chinese dishes. We go through another asian moment, as the 12 of us stand in the middle of the restaurant debating how we are going to sit, until finally we just pull two of those huge round chinese tables together and sit down, to the chagrin of the waitresses. Mac sits in the middle of the two tables haha, trying to get a bit of both table action. Immediately upon sitting down, I notice Pres was across from me, directly between Marge and all the other girls, so I make it known that Pres is the man right now .... and next thing I know, Phillip stands up and moves to the end of the table. Hahah. As we are being all introduced as "chat room friends" (it's an IRC CHANNEL btw), the girls seem to look at us funny, but moving on, Darryl says she lives sometimes in Vallejo, in George's neck of the woods. Panda or Darryl also point over at Foobie and make mention that he looks familiar. Foobie proceeds to give her the third degree, interrogating her about her most recent trip to the Bay Area and where exactly she had gone... but of course the girl gives up and says it was probably not him. Good job Foobs. I spotted some cuties outside, one of them sporting some sorority shirt, and Marge and Anna are quick to catch on. Mac tries to cover up for me by mentioning some Mercedes but it was too late. Those girls were headed over to some SW BBQ joint. My sister is speechless as usual. The other side of the table ordered some stinky tofu and brought it over to our side. Even mild, that stuff stink-o's. I think Felix was the only one that really tried it. pee yu! My sister took off at 1 pm as she had some cable person coming, so we finished up lunch, and mac and i somehow took care of the bill for our new friends.

In order to cash in on the scenery, we head on over to Tapioca Express a few stores down which I had been to once before with my sister. While leaving Good Time Deli, another one of Anna's friends, Anuda shows up. Also while walking down to Tapioca Express, I saw these two dirty looking asian cooks giving the girls the up/down look and grinning. Tapioca Express has a nice couch area, which Anna and I go and stake. Everyone else also comes over to follow suit after ordering except for Foobie and Reod who sit by the little chairs by the line-up area. Great scoping area. We're chilling there when Mac comes over and mentions something about Felix passing news of Darryl's inquiries about him. Dope. Go for it is both our advice, of course. Also during this time, Anna expresses interest in going clubbing when she's up in SF, so next time she's up in the Bay Area it's on. She also bought me a watermelon slushie, thanks Anna! After about 30 minutes of chillin' in there, we go outside and I see Mac talking with Darryl but I don't see any numbers being exchanged. Felix then decides that we're going to go hit up a driving range, so we head on over to Panda's place, where she hooks us up with some of her friends golf clubs, basically a bunch of knock-offs plus a couple old school Titleist clubs and some actual wood-faced woods. But hey, it's all in good fun so it was very nice of her friends to let us borrow them.
